Here I have listed a few of my favorite things, places, events, activities and interests to help you get to know me a little better! This is such a small piece of the puzzle so if something isn't here please feel free to to ask me about it!
Food: Being a true southern woman, of course love steak however I have been moving over to more fish of late and have taken a real liking to it. I LOVE mexican food! I must admit that I am not very adventurous when it comes to food, but I do enjoy Chinese, Tai and Indian food however, I am not a fan of Sushi or much of anything served raw!
Champagne is always my first choice: Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut and Perrier Jouet; add some strawberries and I am in heaven!
Red wine: Linne Calodo "Sticks and Stones" (2004), a Syrah from the Paso Robles region of California; Etude Pinot Noir; Joseph Phelps Insignia 2001; and Bodegas Toro Albala "Don PX Pedro Ximenez Gran Riserva" (1971), an aged Sherry from Cordoba, Spain.
White wine: Cakebread chardonnay (Although I am not a big fan of white wine, at times it can definitely set the right mood)
Port: I LOVE Vintage Tawny Ports...especially for dessert!
Flowers: Although Sterling Roses are my favorite, they are sometimes difficult to find! Being a true romantic, I would adore anything you choose to bestow on me!
Jewelry: I love anything set in Platinum or Silver. A beautiful watch, a pair of diamond earrings or an exquisite bracelet would be wonderful! Naomi Designs, David Yurman & John Hardy are my favorite designers!
Perfume: Chanel Allure for night and Chance for day!
Shoes: Jimmy Choo (size 37 open toe or 37 1/2 closed toe), Manolo Blaniks or Stuart Weitzman (size 7)!
Clothing: It is especially difficult to shop for my curvy figure site unseen so a gift card may be just the right choice.
Lingerie: Azzuma fine imported lingerie has many designs I just love! I have also found many beautiful pieces at Soma by Chicos who actually design for the curvier women unlike Victoria's Secret. Nordstroms and Neimans also have exquisite items I just love!
Car: Black Bentley convertable..…hey a girl can dream can’t she? :)
Interests: Travel, Spa Day's, Hockey & Footballl, Music, Wine, Current events, Dance, Sports, Antiques, Interior Decorating, Fashion, Entertainment, Finance, and Yachts!
Desired Destinations: Bahamas, Fiji, Tahiti, Rome, Paris, South of France, Monaco, St. Tropez, Monte Carlo, New Zealand, Amsterdam, Greece, Prague, Dubai, Africa, Napa Valley, New York, Hawaii & San Francisco! Anything by the water or on the water and I am there! Some locations I have been to but most are fabulous unknown territory I would love to explore...care to sneek away and join me on a romantic getaway?
Events: Sporting Events, the Ballet, a Concert or Musical theater are definate winners with me! A few suggestions: Wimbledon, US Open Tennis, ATP Masters Series: Monaco, French Open, FBR Open, Superbowl, any hockey game, LA Galaxy soccer, Kentucky Derby, and Indy 500. Caan and Sundance Film Festivals, Grammy and Academy Awards Shows, any ABT ballet; see my musical interests for concert ideas.
Activites: I love spa adventures. Driving through the beautiful countryside on the way to a hidden Bed & Breakfast for a quiet little getaway. Wandering aimlessly through an aquarium mesmerized by so many beautiful and unique fish. A train ride through the southern french countryside ending only when we hit the beaches of Monaco/St Tropez. A rainy Sunday spent watching football, napping and snuggling up together with takeout and a spiked coffee! An all out "glitz and glamour" weekend spent shopping, eating, drinking and playing hard. Driving along the coastline, enjoying the view and stopping along the way to find that elusive "must have" antique in that hole in the wall shop. Yachting through islands exploring hidden beach bars. Tropical beach vacations and luxury cruises. Spending a decadently wicked evening at a gentlemens club (I might look like the girl next door but boy can I get into all sorts of trouble). Exploring ancient medieval castles and churches. Sipping wine at a quaint little bistro while watching the people stroll by. Luxuriously lounging poolside at a villa overlooking the Mediterranean. As a budding wine enthusiast, wine festivals and tastings are a treat. Exploring the wine country of Napa Valley! Sifting through flea markets and antique fairs for hidden treasures!
Las Vegas evening: I enjoy gambling in the casinos under the bright lights of Sin City! Romantic dinners are fun as I am always excited about trying new restaurants! Although I enjoy dining in the casino restaurants; I also enjoy upscale gentlemans clubs as well. Following dinner with a show whether it be a comedy, musical or rock concert is a great way to get out and see the town. If you need any ideas please do not hesitate to ask!
Las Vegas Shows: Garth Brooks, Bon Jovi, Celine (when she gets here), La Femme, Donnie & Marie, Wayne Brady, Jerry Seinfeld, O, Mystere & Love! There are also so many visiting acts (I LOVE concerts) but too many to mention here!
Sports: Well anyone who knows me will tell you that I have a passion (bordering on obsession) with hockey and sports in general! Professional basketball, football, and soccer along with tennis and Nascar/Indy races are also favorites! Ok so I am a sports junky for real what can I say! I make no excuses!
Music: Music for me evokes great emotion; by hearing a song I am instantly taken back to a time and those feelings bring overwhelming joy to me in my everyday life! I enjoy a very eclectic mix which includes but is not limited to The Eagles, Frank Sinatra, Bonjovi, Norah Jones, Elvis, Elton John, Barbara Streisand, Michael Buble, Josh Groban, Fleetwood Mac, Etta James, Natalie Merchant, Ray Charles, Wynona Judd, Lyle Lovett and soft Jazz! Nothing like Sunday mornings lounging in bed, drinking a great cup of coffee while reading the paper listening to Chris Botti and Boney James!
Movies: Again I have very eclectic tastes...Hope & Crosby Road shows, Shawshank Redemption, Dr. Zhivago, any musical with Elvis, Babs, Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire, Driving Miss Daisy, Indiana Jones, Die Hard, While you were Sleeping, Rocky, A Fish Called Wanda, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, City Slickers, When Harry Met Sally, Turning Point, Centerstage, White Nights and lastly White Christmas which I have watched every Christmas Eve since I was a young girl!
Television (Past & Present): CNN, World News Tonight, Entertainment Tonight, Oprah, 20/20, I Love Lucy, Carol Burnett, MASH, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Dean Martin Roasts, Friends, Larry King, Boston Legal, Criminal Minds, Discovery channel - Shark week, 60 minutes, HGTV, Medium, and Ghost Whisperer. RIP Mr. Russert; you single handedly taught this southern girl about politics and actually made me want to learn!
Animals: I am partial to dogs...I just love them! Have a weird fascination with sharks but for the most part don't really want to get into the water with them..well OK just maybe! Not really into anything creepy or crawly which begs the point that it just makes no sense that I want to go on an African Safari then does it?
